Permits valid for 2 consecutive days
Must be obtained before entering Alberta

General travel allowed 24/7
Restrictions apply for:
Loads >12’6” wide: No travel after 3:00 PM Fri/Sat; no Sunday travel
Loads >14’6” wide: Daylight-only travel
Equipment Requirements for Oversize Equipment Transport
Tractor Wheelbase:
Standard: 244 inches
With Annual Permit: Up to 267.7 inches
Tridem Drive Tractors: All axles must be powered and evenly spaced
Spread Axles (6’+): Max 20,000 lbs total
Lift & Flip Axles: Require Annual Equipment Exemption Permit or must be secured

Max Length: 53’ semi-trailer / 75.5’ overall
Rear Overhang: Max 35% of trailer wheelbase (permit needed beyond)
