In general, any vehicle over 10 feet in width, 14 feet in height, and weighing up to 80,000 pounds should obtain an oversize load permit from the Ephraim Public Works Department.

Additionally, all oversized loads must be accompanied by a police escort during peak traffic hours (7:00 AM - 9:00 AM) on weekdays.

When escort vehicles are required in Ephraim, it is typically for loads exceeding 12 feet in width or 15 feet in height. The City of Ephraim requires an escort vehicle for any load that exceeds these dimensions.
