All oversize loads entering the City of Homeacre-Lyndora must conform to the requirements set by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

In general, any vehicle over 10 feet in width, 14 feet in height, and within the Class 3 weight class should obtain an oversize load permit from the Homeacre-Lyndora Public Works Department.

To ensure public safety, all oversized loads must be escorted by a trained driver or police officer when traveling through residential areas during peak hours (7am-9am) on weekdays.

When an oversized load exceeds 12 feet in width or 16 feet in height, a trained escort driver is required to accompany the vehicle through residential areas. The Homeacre-Lyndora Police Department can provide escort services for a fee of $150 per hour.
