Permit Requirements

  • Single-trip permits valid for three days
  • Must be obtained before entering the province
  • Permit cost varies by vehicle size and weight
  • Review all oversize permit requirements in advance

Operating Time Restrictions

  • Daylight travel is standard
  • Night travel allowed for most loads with escorts and lights
  • Height over 14′: Daylight-only travel
  • Overwidth loads not allowed on Sundays or holidays
  • Restricted travel times:
    • Over 12′ wide or 82′ long: No travel from 3:00 PM Friday to Monday morning
    • Over 14′ wide or 82′ long: No travel from 7:00–9:00 AM and 4:00–6:00 PM
