Permit Validity

Single-trip permits are valid for 6 days and must be obtained before entering Tennessee.

Operating Hours

Monday–Saturday: ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset.
Note: No Sunday travel (except for overweight-only loads, which may move continuously).

Restricted Travel Areas & Times

  • Loads over 12’6″ wide or 85′ long are prohibited in city limits during 7–9 AM and 4–6 PM (weekdays).
  • No movement on major holidays.

  • Length: 50 feet max (kingpin to trailer end). Utility poles over 75 feet require permits.

    • Tandem Axle: 34,000 pounds
