All oversize loads entering the City of Killen must conform to the requirements set by the Alabama Department of Transportation.
In general, any vehicle over 10 feet in width, 14 feet in height, and within the Class 3 weight class should obtain an oversize load permit from the Killen Public Works Department.
Additionally, all oversized loads exceeding 65 feet in length must be escorted by a police officer, as per City Ordinance 2020-02.
Escorts are required for all oversized loads exceeding 65 feet in length or those that exceed the width, height, or weight limits mentioned above.
