All oversize loads entering the City of Mount Kisco must conform to the requirements set by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and the Westchester County Department of Transportation.
In general, any vehicle over 10 feet in width, 14.5 feet in height, and within the Class 3 weight classification should obtain an oversize load permit from the Mount Kisco Public Works Department.
Additionally, all loads must be securely covered to prevent debris or contents from falling onto local roads.
According to the Mount Kisco Police Department, escort vehicles are required for any load exceeding 12 feet in width or 16.5 feet in height.
The Westchester County Sheriff's Office will also provide police escorts upon request. Scheduling and fees apply.

The City of Mount Kisco has a 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM time-of-day restriction for oversize loads on weekdays.
During peak winter months (December to March), all loads must be equipped with tire chains or snow socks, and may be subject to additional restrictions.
The following neighborhoods are restricted to oversize load traffic between the hours of 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily: Old Mount Kisco Historic District, Woodside Park, and parts of South Highland Avenue.
