Getting Started
What does Heavy Haul Transporting do?
Heavy Haul Transporting helps customers discuss transportation for heavy equipment, industrial machinery and specialized freight. It is a division of Flatbed Hauling Quotes Inc., with asset-based transportation and freight brokerage capabilities. The arrangement for a particular shipment depends on the equipment, route and availability.
Are you a carrier or a freight broker?
Our business has both asset-based transportation and freight brokerage capabilities. A move may involve company-operated equipment or another carrier through a brokerage arrangement. Ask which arrangement is proposed for your shipment and who will perform the transportation before booking.
Where do you provide service?
We serve the 48 contiguous United States and Canada. Alaska and Hawaii are outside our coverage. Provide the specific pickup and delivery locations so our team can discuss your route and requirements.
What types of equipment and freight can I ask about?
Contact us about construction and agricultural equipment, industrial machinery, transformers, generators, fabricated structures, tanks, vessels, commercial equipment and other specialized loads. For boats, aircraft components, rail equipment or unusual assemblies, share the dimensions, weight and support or handling requirements for the actual item.
Quotes & Booking
What information do you need for a quote?
Send the equipment make and model, quantity, transport dimensions, weight, pickup and delivery locations, and preferred dates. Explain attachments, operating condition and loading arrangements. If you are comparing heavy haulers, give each provider the same complete shipment details so you can review the proposed scope consistently.
What affects the price of equipment transportation?
Pricing depends on the specific load and move. Dimensions, weight, route, trailer requirements, loading arrangements and scheduling can all affect the proposed transportation plan. Give our team the current details and ask what the quote includes, what assumptions it uses and which additional requirements still need confirmation.
Can I request a quote before every detail is confirmed?
Yes. Share what you know and identify anything still outstanding, such as final measurements, release dates or loading assistance. A discussion based on incomplete information may need to be revised once the actual shipment requirements are known. Confirm the final scope before booking.
How far in advance should I contact you?
Contact us as soon as you know the likely equipment, route and schedule. Availability must be discussed for the actual move; a requested pickup date is not a confirmed booking. Explain any flexibility, project deadlines or receiving appointments during the initial conversation.
What if my equipment, route or dates change?
Contact the team coordinating your move as soon as possible. Changes to dimensions, weight, locations, attachments or timing can change the proposed transportation requirements and quote. Review the revised arrangement before pickup.
Do you guarantee a particular delivery date?
Discuss the required delivery window and the terms of the proposed shipment with our team. A general website inquiry does not establish a guaranteed pickup or delivery date. Confirm the schedule and any specific commitments in the shipment arrangements before booking.
Equipment, Trailers & Loading
Which trailer will my load need?
The trailer discussion starts with transport dimensions, weight, equipment configuration and loading method. Flatbed, step-deck, lowboy, removable-gooseneck and other specialized options serve different requirements. When speaking with heavy haulers, explain the actual load rather than relying only on the equipment category or model name.
Should I use operating dimensions or transport dimensions?
Provide the dimensions of the equipment as it will travel. Identify anything folded, detached or shipped separately, including buckets, blades, booms and other attachments. State where a measurement or weight comes from and flag anything that still needs verification.
Can you discuss equipment that does not run?
Yes. Explain the equipment’s condition before requesting transportation. Describe whether it can roll, steer or be safely positioned, and what loading assistance is available. A non-running machine needs a loading plan suited to its condition; do not assume the trailer or driver can load it without additional arrangements.
Who is responsible for loading and unloading?
Confirm those responsibilities as part of the quote and shipment arrangements. Tell us what cranes, forklifts, ramps or other loading resources are available and who will operate them. Do not assume loading or unloading assistance is included unless it has been specifically agreed.
What if my load may be oversize or overweight?
Provide accurate transport dimensions and weight at the start, along with the origin and destination. Ask the team to review any special routing, permit or escort considerations for the specific move. Do not rely on a general website answer to determine the requirements for an individual shipment.
Canada & Site Coordination
Can I discuss a shipment between the United States and Canada?
Yes. Share both locations, the equipment information and the shipper and receiver contacts. Identify who will handle customs arrangements and explain any related timing constraints. Cross-border details should be reviewed for the specific shipment before scheduling; Canadian coverage does not imply that customs brokerage is included.
Can you pick up from an auction, dealer or jobsite?
Contact us with the equipment details and the exact pickup location. Provide release documents where required, collection hours, the pickup contact and loading arrangements. For a jobsite or industrial facility, explain access restrictions and receiving procedures before the move is scheduled.
Do you have an office in every state or city you serve?
No. Our state and city pages describe transportation service coverage. Our two business locations are Rotonda West, Florida, and Litchfield, Connecticut. Please contact our team before arranging an in-person visit.
Shipment Questions & Contact
What should I ask about insurance and the transportation arrangement?
Ask which carrier will perform the move, request the relevant documentation and discuss the coverage information and terms associated with that shipment. Describe any special cargo requirements before booking.
How do I ask about an existing shipment?
Contact the team member coordinating your move and include your load reference, pickup or delivery location and a brief description of your question. Keep payment details and sensitive personal information out of general inquiry messages.
How do I contact Heavy Haul Transporting?
Email sales@flatbedhaulingquotes.com with your equipment details, route and preferred dates, or use the website’s Contact Us page. You can begin with the information you have and explain what is still being confirmed.
