During winter months (December to February), oversized loads must travel at a speed of no greater than 10 mph due to snow and ice conditions.
The City has designated specific routes for oversized loads; deviations from these routes are strictly prohibited.
The base permit fee in Okarche is $50, with an additional charge of $25 per mile traveled.
Fees are waived for loads traveling to or from local industrial facilities within a 5-mile radius.
